The State of the Hungarian Economy debate

The State of the Hungarian Economy debate

On 19 April the Hungarian LSE Alumni Association and the Common Sense Society jointly organised a debate between Hungarian OECD Ambassador Zoltán Cséfalvay and CEU Professor of International Political Economy László Csaba. Titled “The State of the Hungarian Economy: Unorthodoxy, Results and Challenges”, the discussion explored topics, such as the dangers of the middle income trap, the relevance of the trickle down economics theory or how smartphones had a greater effect on global economy than the 2008 crisis. The debate was followed by a question and answer session. Many thanks to Common Sense Society for the smooth and successful cooperation, to Párbeszéd Háza for providing the venue and to the audience, who braved the stormy weather and attended the event.
