Éva Számely
Senior Advisor / Founder

Although born and bred in Budapest, Éva took the first opportunities given by the systemic changes in the early 1990s and went to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics in the UK at the University of Keele as a recipient of Gisela Held Foundation’s Scholarship. At the LSE, Éva has not only gained her master’s degree, as a recipient of Reuters’ Scholarship, but also the experience of working extremely hard for a diversity of social matters with maximum tolerance and openness regardless of cultural background. This impact is still lasting and as a result, one of her first ambitions on her return to her native country was to set up the Hungarian LSE Alumni Association in 2002 on the grounds of the same LSE values. After having worked as an economist at a number of European banks and institutions all over the continent, Éva now works as a management consultant based in Hungary. Éva is a great fan of outdoor sports, music and art.
